Day 1: Upon arrival in San José airport, our English speaking tour guide from Amadeus will welcome you. It will take you about 1.5 hours to get away from the hustle and bustle of the capital, San José, and reach your accommodation in the lush green of the cloud forest in the central mountain range not far from the slopes of Poas Volcano. El Silencio Lodge offers a world-class spa and a fine restaurant. Due to the remoteness of the lodge, arrivals should take place before 18:00.

Day 2: This morning you will be awakened by the sounds of the surrounding nature. Bajos del Toro is home to over 350 species of birds! There is an exclusive "Melodia" hike with your guide on the program. This begins in the "Senses Garden", a large, natural garden. From there follow the "Mystical Trail" through the cloud forest and then reach our end point, the impressive "Melodia Waterfall", its name derives from the harmonious singing birds there. In the afternoon, a 90-minute deluxe stone massage, the "Poas Healing Stone Massage", will surprise you.

Day 3: Costa Rica is part of the volcanic mountain range along the Pacific coast that stretches across Central America. The journey will take you further to the northern lowlands of Costa Rica. Next to the road you can see sprawling pineapple plantations. In the afternoon, approach another volcanic attraction in Costa Rica, the active Arenal Volcano. Explore the suspension bridges of La Fortuna: The area has 250 hectares of protected land with primary rainforest and an endless biodiversity. A total of 14 bridges of different lengths (8 to 98 meters) and up to 60 meters high enchant. You can hike a distance of 3.1 kilometers and marvel at the characteristic flora and fauna. Back at the hotel you have the opportunity to relax at the hotel pool.

Day 4: Today you explore the Arenal National Park while hiking over volcanic sand towards the lava fields. Orchids and other exotic plants flourish on the fertile soil - toucans like to settle on the tall trees. From the cooled lava-lung we have a beautiful view on the volcanic cone and on the Atlantic lowland on clear days. The afternoon is free and individually designed according to your choice.

Day 5: After breakfast we bring you to the airstrip at La Fortuna, where your private charter plane is already waiting for you. The panoramic flight along Costa Rica's Caribbean coast only takes about 45 minutes; Landing Place is the Tortuguero airstrip, located on the beach and surrounded by jungle. From there you will be brought by boat to Manatus Lodge. Tortuguero is one of Costa Rica's most famous National parks and protects an extensive rainforest area criss-crossed by hundreds of small lifelines - the famous Tortuguero canals. This area protects one of the most important nesting sites of the endangered Green Sea Turtle. After a warm welcome by the staff, a visit to the village of Tortuguero is next. See the turtle museum and walk through tropical rain forest, also along the wild Caribbean beach. There is also time to relax by the pool. Optionally, a tour to observe the turtles during oviposition is offered at night (JUL-SEP).

Day 6: Mornings have gold in the mouth! Even before breakfast, your tour guide organizes a canoe trip through the Tortuguero canals, this is the best time for wildlife watching. Discover the biodiversity of Costa Rica, for example Crocodiles, caimans, lizards, monkeys, sloths, freshwater turtles and a wide variety of birds. Later in the morning you will take part in the regular boat tour and a short walk through the typical rainforest is planned today.

7th day: After breakfast, a boat will drive you through canals and rivers to the small port of La Pavona or Caño Blanco, then further to Guapiles on a bus. During the trip you can see the wide banana plantations of the region. Afterwards, head towards the green and agricultural region of Turrialba, where the exclusive boutique hotel Casa Turire is nestled in sugarcane, macadamia and coffee plantations.

Day 8: This morning you will head to the Guayabo Monument, one of the largest ruins of prehistoric culture. On the way back to the hotel visit the gardens of Hacienda Sitio de Mata. A tour through the spectacular gardens gives an insight into the different processing processes of the macadamia nut, the coffee and the sugar cane. The small colonial church and the old colonial house are also worth a visit.

Day 9: Today you travel back across the road to Siquirres. At the village of "Santa Marta" change into a 4x4 car and drive the bumpy dirt road to the Pacuare River. A 100m long passenger gondola will take you across the river to the Pacuare Lodge. Pacuare Lodge is located on the banks of the same named river, one of the best whitewater rafting sites in the world. The lodge is surrounded by primary rainforest. Be accompanied by the sounds of the jungle and the sounds of the river during your stay. Then, participate in a walk to a waterfall to refresh yourself.

10th day: Today you decide what you would like to experience. Explore the area's main attraction, the rainforest, and a remote Indian reservation. Learn about the Costa Rican indigenous people and spend some time with these humble people. Alternatively, try the hotel's canopy or canyoning tour, or just treat yourself to a relaxing day in the hammock and listen to the sounds of the rainforest.
Overnight: Pacuare Lodge ****. Meals: Full Board
Day 11: Time to say goodbye to paradise: part of the Pacuare Lodge experience is a 3-4 hour whitewater rafting (category III-IV) tour across one of the most beautiful rivers in the world. You drive through untouched nature, observe birds and other animals, and enjoy the direct contact with the river and its deep green environment. In Siquirres you can change your clothes before continuing your 2.5 hour drive to San José. Upon arrival at the hotel your guide will say goodbye to you. Enjoy your last evening in Costa Rica with a leisurely dinner at the hotel.
Overnight: Hotel Grano de Oro *****. Meals: Breakfast & Dinner
Day 12: Today you have to say goodbye to Costa Rica. We will bring you in time to check in for your return flight to Juan Santamaría International Airport.
